What do I need in order to use Red Stamp Mail?

All you need is an existing mail account that can be accessed via POP3 or IMAP.

What are POP3 and IMAP?

These are the standard ways for a computer to connect to a mail provider and download mail that is sent to you.

Does Red Stamp Mail work with my mail provider?

In almost all cases the answer is yes. If your mail provider gives you POP3 or IMAP access to your mailbox, Red Stamp Mail can work with it. Almost all mail providers give this kind of access except for some web-mail providers that do not allow it, or only allow it for a fee.

I don't have a mail account. Can you create one for me?

Unfortunately we cannot create a mail account for you. There's a good chance you already have a mail account provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). If not, you can open an account in one of the free web-mail services, such as Gmail, AOL Mail or Hotmail. Go ahead, we'll be waiting right here.

Do I need to download and install anything on my computer?

Red Stamp Mail is completely web-based, which means you only need a web browser to access your mail from any computer connected to the Internet. No installation is necessary. You'll be able to read your email at home, in the public library, in the homes of your friends and family - practically anywhere.

Which web browsers do you support?

Any modern web browser should be fine, including Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or better, Google Chrome and Safari. It also works great on the Apple iPad and other tablet computers. Finally, Red Stamp Mail can be used from text-only browsers, such as Lynx, Elinks and WebbIE.

Is there a spell checker?

If you're using Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome or Safari, there's a built-in spell checker inside your browser which automatically marks spelling mistakes with a red squiggly underline. If you are an Internet Explorer user, simply install Speckie to get the same functionality for free.

Can I use Red Stamp Mail with a screen reader?

Absolutely! We put accessibility first, and this makes Red Stamp Mail particularly well-suited for screen readers and other assistive technologies. We have tested Red Stamp Mail with JAWS, Thunder and NVDA.

How much does Red Stamp Mail cost?

The first 30 days are completely free. Afterwards Red Stamp Mail costs only $18 per year. Competing solutions cost at least five times as much, but we intentionally keep our price low so that everyone who needs our service will be able to afford it. See our pricing page for more information.

Will I need to give you my credit card information?

No. Your payment will be processed securely by PayPal, and we will not be exposed to your credit card information at all. You can pay using a PayPal account or any major credit card.

Can I cancel my account?
